   Joker Driving the Bus - (Dream 2011)

I boarded a school bus that was filled with all age people but mostly adults. There were some special- needs children with their moms in the back of the bus.

The doors closed to begin our journey when the driver turned around to reveal his true identity. He was the Joker (Heith Ledger) from a Batman movie The Dark Knight. We all knew right away that we were in serious trouble.

The interior of the bus had a heavy, golden-colored curtain that hung from the top of the bus. Just as the bus began to move, it fell on top of some of the passengers and concealed our activities from the driver. I pulled out my mobile phone and tried to dial 911, but I could not get through. Concerned for the special-needs children, I made my way to the back of the bus to tell the mom’s to hurry and sneak out the back as soon as the bus stopped, even if it was just for a minute. I came back to my seat and continued to dial 911 but with no success.

It was the most terrifying ride that anyone could imagine and seemed to last forever! The bus traveled at extremely dangerous speeds and jumped stretches of highway where there was no road. It was as if we were on a roller-coaster. It finally came to a stop in the bottom of what seemed like a quarry. Outside big machines were spewing a thick, black -tar or asphalt-like substance all over our bus covering us. The dream ended.

What does it mean?

•   I think mixture of people on the bus represents the diverse group of people who are on a similar journey.  All of us trusted the driver without question.

•   I believe we had better be extremely careful to whom we are listening, and TEST EVERYTHING. Don’t assume the leader of your assembly, the driver of the bus, is who you think he is. You may have placed too much confidence in them. 

• I do think it is interesting that the name of the movie is The Dark Knight which you can look at as a metaphor for the Advisary. You can infer that the homophones knight and night also point to the darkness of the Great Tribulation. Recall that a day begins in the evening. Gen 1:5 "...And the evening and the morning were the first day."

•   The handicapped children may represent those who do not yet know how to “walk.”  They may not know how to walk in The Way of  YHVH. They can not walk on their own and they still need assistance.

•   The lack of connection on the mobile phone - If you don’t hear the warnings from the Holy Spirit by the time you get on the bus, you are likely not going to be able have clear communication at this point.

•   The golden curtain falling and hiding our activities was another image of protection.  Gold is related to to YHVH

•   The tar-like substance –reminds me of the pitch that was used to cover the inside and outside of the ark, and Moshe’s basket which was sent afloat in the water.  Perhaps even though you experience a wild ride, you will finally be delivered by the Hand of El Elyon. Gather close under His Wings now.
