2-7-15 (Shabbat)
This was my youngest daughter's dream.
My daughter and a friend had a cottage on the beach. There was a wide and long concrete walkway from the house to the shore. She was headed to the beach to take a walk, and saw something she needed to pick up. A young man was also there and offered to pick it up for her, but because she was in a very ill mood, she rebuffed him and pushed him away. A second time she could have used the help he offered, but refused. Now she was standing on the steps of her house, when a third time she was holding a large jar of pickles without a lid, and the young man offered one more time to help her carry them. She again refused his help, and tossed the jar of pickles over the top of her head pouring it out. She realized he was a really pretty nice guy, and it was as if the dream started all over again. This time, however, she had all of the memories and emotions of what occurred in the previous events. Additionally she realized that he was important to her future and was supposed to be the man she married. She reflected on the bitterness she felt and realized that she was being given the opportunity to do things all over again and accept his help. This time she did not push him away, and finally, they ended up courting. The dream ended.
There is a lot of symbolism in this dream starting with a house on the beach. A house, at times, is used to represent us, our physical bodies which house our soul and spirit. The coastlands in Scripture represent Gentiles, people out of covenant. They can also represent carnality. See Isa 42:4-6 (Look at our own nation's coasts.) At the same time, the coastline can represent time, the end of age, with the drastic change that will occur such as the change from sand to water. The concrete itself may represent matters, events, or a path being unchangeable or set. The young man offering help is a picture of Yeshua. He offers us help if only we will accept Him. Help was denied and then accepted three times. Three denotes resurrection and divine perfection. The use of a jar of pickles represents the unforgiveness and bitterness she is / was carrying. They are sour.
Isa 1:7-9 "Your country is desolate,
Your cities are burned with fire;
Strangers devour your land in your presence;
And it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.
8 So the daughter of Zion is left as a booth in a vineyard,
As a hut in a garden of cucumbers,
As a besieged city.
9 Unless the Lord of hosts
Had left to us a very small remnant,
We would have become like Sodom,
We would have been made like Gomorrah.
We read here in Isaiah of the devastation brought to Judah, but also mentioned is the remnant, those preserved from destruction. My daughter's ill mood is caused by the bitterness she feels. This could represent bitterness we may feel towards YHVH for whatever pain or difficulties He has allowed into our lives. We can either accept His help, or push Him away. Let us use this as a warning to accept His love, assistance, and guidance through whatever trials lay ahead. If we are indeed the last generation, it is likely that we will witness, if not even experience, tremendous loss. We can not grow bitter from our pain. We must seek the help of Ruach HaKodesh to heal the brokenness in our spirits to help secure our position as part of Messiah Yeshua's bride. Shalom.
